Objective of the Action

The goal of the Saudi Arabia Trade Mission is to create business opportunities, expand networking, and consolidate the presence of Brazilian companies in the Middle Eastern Halal market. This will be achieved through a commercial immersion consisting of visits and meetings with potential partners and buyers.

This action of the Halal Brazil project aims to strengthen the Brazilian export culture for access to Islamic markets, through the diversification of the product portfolio and the inclusion of new companies and products in the global Halal market.

Saudi Arabia is the leading Arab country in food imports from the world (US$ 24.907 billion in 2023).

The halal food sector in the country has an estimated annual revenue of US$ 5 billion.
The country is the 3rd leading Arab destination for Brazilian food exports (US$ 2.529 billion in 2024).
Every year Muslims undertake the pilgrimage to the Saudi city of Mecca, which also creates opportunities to meet the demand for food, not only from Saudis but from the global Muslim community present there.
E-commerce generates an estimated annual revenue of US$ 64 million. 90% of the population in the country is Muslim.
The country is making large investments in the tourism sector, attracting more and more travelers from different parts of the world, creating a growing demand in the food sector.

Halal do Brasil Project

The Saudi Arabia mission is part of the Halal Project of Brazil, an initiative to encourage companies to facilitate exports to Muslim markets, with actions such as training, certification, commercial promotion, matchmaking, and business experience exchange in the Halal sector.

Can my company participate?

To participate in the Saudi Arabia Mission, your company must be Brazilian and from the food and beverage sector. It must be an exporter or have an interest in exporting as well as possessing a halal certification or have an interest in obtaining it.
