Halal do Brasil in Malaysia and Singapore

Through a trade immersion and direct engagement with potential partners, regulators, and distributors, as well as business meetings with international buyers, the mission will take place during the MIHAS trade fair in Malaysia. It will include the region’s key players and feature a specialized team to provide local support.

Initiative’s Goal

The Malaysia and Singapore Trade Mission’s goal is to create business opportunities, expand networking, and consolidate the presence of Brazilian companies in the Halal market of Southeast Asia through a trade immersion consisting of visits and meetings with potential partners and buyers.

This initiative of the Halal do Brasil project aims to strengthen Brazil’s export culture for access to Islamic markets by diversifying the product portfolio and incorporating new companies and products into the global halal market.

Malaysia and Singapore are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) – a region with a population of over 682 million and a combined GDP of $3.3 trillion.
The ASEAN bloc consists of 10 countries (Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) that have a free trade agreement among them.
Malaysia and Singapore are among the four largest economies in the ASEAN bloc and are important logistics hubs in the region.

Halal do Brasil Project

The stand at MIHAS is an integral component of the Halal do Brasil Project, which is aimed at motivating companies to explore opportunities in Muslim markets by holding actions of improvement, training, certification, commercial promotion, matchmaking, business experience exchange in Halal.

Can my company participate?

To participate in the Malaysia and Singapore Mission, your company must be Brazilian and operate in the food and beverage sector. It must be an exporter or have an interest in exporting and either already have halal certification or be interested in obtaining it. Additionally, your company is required to join the Halal do Brasil project free of charge, if it is not yet part of it.
